Air-resistance phenomenon usually exists in oil-gas multiphase pump. In order to solve the air-resistance phenomenon, a scheme of designing an air-resistance regulator was purposed after detailed analysis. Based on the theoretic analyzing and practical testing, the design method of air-resistance regulator was summarized and concluded. Finally, a prototype of the designed air-resistance regulator was manufactured. The operation assessment results showed that the prototype can meet the needs of poor conditions.
