The basic parameters of plant straw packaging container, such as Poisson ratio, elastic modulus and so on, were gained by means of static compression test. The mechanical model was established from the force-deformation curve, and the packaging container was also analyzed through finite element method (FEM) based upon parameters and the model above. Some parameters such as the stress distribution law, stiffness and breaking strength under compression load were obtained and the easy-crackled position was also determined. It is proved that the calculation results are in accord with the experimental results. The research is the foundation for study on crack damage of tableware and provides evidence for the structure design and mould development.
