An electric drive truck control system composed with a speed-current dual loop was designed to ensure the output power of electromotor and engine were matched and the engine can operate in economical condition. This demand the engine keep maximum permit current and accelerate in the shortest time to keep the vehicle’s best startup capability. Changeless output of vehicle in operation was guaranteed and impact like change when overcoming resistance during driving was overcame. Simulation result with Matlab provide the static and dynamic characteristic of the system.
