According to the testing requirements of tractor power shift transmission, a power shift transmission test bed for large-scale tractor was designed. The power shift transmission, drive motor, loading motor and energy feedback system were designed. The electronic control unit and electronic measurement system were developed. The overall scheme of tests for power shift transmission was determined and tested. The test results showed that the power of proposed test bed was up to 250 kW. A closed-loop feedback of energy was achieved thus energy-saving rate in overload operating conditions reached to 80%. The input speed and torque, output speed and torque, hydraulic system flow and pressure could be tested with the system. The test bed was operated steadily and could meet the design requirements.
